This is Andrew Spears birthday celebration! He and a bunch of his friends will be free-for-alling it all night long on the turntables, including LA-based DJ, Nate Day! Also playing is Mot, of course, Miss Becky, Ken Sherry, and Benjammin! They will all be competing, Olympic-style, in honor of the start of the Summer Olympics!
You should all remember him from back in May when he spun at Sky60 and at Crush! For all newcomers to Nate Day, please check out a couple of his dj mixes and realize he is goooooood!

A little bit about Get Mental and the DJs:
Mot and Spear are pretty crazy fuckers and pretty much spin some of the best shit out there. Both spin records like old-school champs! They actually have a lot of the new stuff/blog Djs on vinyl, such as Bag Raiders and a whole bunch of others I can't remember.
Mot is the dude who runs the Covert Skateshop (voted # 1 skate shop in Orlando!), so most likely you've bought shoes or something from him before. You know all those Supras Pauly wears? Yep, Mot hooked him up! So if you want to get a sweet deal or discount on some shoes, maybe stopping by and getting him a drink might help! Maybe he'll remember you next time you come in the store, if he doesn't get as drunk as usual! Check out more info at http://www.myspace.com/mot.
Andrew is a fancy artist and mural painter. Even has his own company with his buddy, Charlie (http://www.metrofinishes.com). Both of these dudes recently opened up for MSTRKRFT at Firestone. They wore KISS makeup. Yeah. They are that crazy. So catch them Friday night!

Nate Day is a really good DJ, also out of LA and if you are looking for something a little, atmosphere wise, then hit up Sky60 to see Nate Day's first of two performances in town. What, never heard of Sky60? It's that little entrance right next to The Social with the white paintjob.
Sky60 is actually located on the rooftop of BBQ and the Social! It's a really neat place with little table/booth areas with curtains. It's a 21 and up club, so if you can't make the age limit, don't fret, you can come hit up Crush on Monday (like you weren't going to anyways!).
Believe me, the people that I am going with to Sky are ALSO going to Crush too to catch his second performance!

Seriously? Tommy Sunshine? Yes please! Tommie was the first DJ (the vhs or beta guys don't count) that performed at the original S/T back in 2006, and played at Blackout once, too. Several us recently spotting him all over WMC down in Miami this year, but I managed to not catch any live sets, so i'm reeeeeeeeeeeeally excited and so should you!
