This is Andrew Spears birthday celebration! He and a bunch of his friends will be free-for-alling it all night long on the turntables, including LA-based DJ, Nate Day! Also playing is Mot, of course, Miss Becky, Ken Sherry, and Benjammin! They will all be competing, Olympic-style, in honor of the start of the Summer Olympics!
You should all remember him from back in May when he spun at Sky60 and at Crush! For all newcomers to Nate Day, please check out a couple of his dj mixes and realize he is goooooood!

A little bit about Get Mental and the DJs:
Mot and Spear are pretty crazy fuckers and pretty much spin some of the best shit out there. Both spin records like old-school champs! They actually have a lot of the new stuff/blog Djs on vinyl, such as Bag Raiders and a whole bunch of others I can't remember.
Mot is the dude who runs the Covert Skateshop (voted # 1 skate shop in Orlando!), so most likely you've bought shoes or something from him before. You know all those Supras Pauly wears? Yep, Mot hooked him up! So if you want to get a sweet deal or discount on some shoes, maybe stopping by and getting him a drink might help! Maybe he'll remember you next time you come in the store, if he doesn't get as drunk as usual! Check out more info at http://www.myspace.com/mot.
Andrew is a fancy artist and mural painter. Even has his own company with his buddy, Charlie (http://www.metrofinishes.com). Well, I think Carnival may have outdone themselves this past week with Felix Cartal. Eventually packed to the brim, Suite B was the cage that held many handfuls of sweaty people dancing it out to the ever-banging Felix Cartal from Canada. No one should ever say anything bad about Canada again (ok maybe just old snowbirds) after experiencing the electro-bangability of Mr. Cartal.
Felix looked like he was having a ton of fun, especially after manhandling that bottle of Crown Royal (see photos)!
Also hanging out, supporting his buddy, was Daniel of LA Riots, who told me wherever Felix is, he is. They are both really nice dudes and it was good to see Daniel hanging out!

Well, this was a special little treat. It was decided that it would be a great idea if Pauly Crush spun at Carnival, in an attempt to bring everyone together away from all the turmoil going on in our club scene. The only thing left was Pauly actually agreeing...and luckily for us, he did!
He said he has an awesome time and I can honestly say i've seen Pauly dance behind the booth as much as he did this night! Look for a couple of those in-action shots half way through the set or so!
The night was split between Carnivals resident DJ, the always-awesome HALLCALL and Crush's and (former) S/T resident DJ, Pauly Crush. Both did an incredible job of keeping everybody sweaty. Thanks you two!

Krames is one cool, funny dude. A few of us got to hang out with him outside the club afterwards for a good 20 minutes bullshitting and taking retarded photos and whatnot.
Heard a story from him about how thick girls ain't so bad, and how this night at Carnival was the best party he's been to since his birthday bash back in New York in November.
Said he had a ton of fun and will probably be back in June or July!
Of course, the above information was all heard while intoxicated, so facts may vary :)
