    - - - > This weeks upcoming events. < - - -

Holy shit I didn't realize how busy this week was going to be until I started htmling this bulletin!

Miami Horror @ Crush - Backbooth

He is from Australia, don't let the name fool you! Let's just say that MIami Horror is one of my favorites at the moment and has been for a while so i'm really really excited to experience him at Crush!

Gameboy/Gamegirl are also Australia natives and I really don't know much about them other than Miami Horror produces their shit, and they have a little hit know as Dirty Wet / Sweaty Damp and you have most likely heard the GLOVES remix of that in the clubs.

Here are some Miami Horror tracks, courtesy of Preston Craig from WWW.KISSATLANTA.COM

The Dirty Secrets - 5 Feet Of Snow (Miami Horror Remix)

Faker - This Heart Attack (Miami Horror Remix)

Grafton Primary - I Can Cook (Miami Horror Remix)

Miami Horror - Don’t Be On With Her

Midnight Juggernauts - Road To Recovery (Miami Horror Remix)

Stardust - Music Sounds Better (In Miami Horror Remix)

Ruff Club from NY invades Carnival @ Suite B

You may remember Micprobes from back in February at the first official Carnival!
    Photos here!

Well this time he is bringing the Ruff Club with him! Denny Le Nihm and the infamous host, Sophia Lamar! Expect wildness and sweaty sweatyness!

KIll the Noise @ French Kiss - Laundry Bar (MIAMI)

Weeeee! heading to Miami again for 4th of July weekend!

Laundry Bar is a cool little place I had the chance to visit during my last MIami trip with my gf Melanie and to catch DJ Stretch Armstrong. It ACTUALLY IS a laundry mat with a bar! People ACTUALLY do laundry there when dancing to DJs!

And the best part is it's freaking free! Well, free to get in and dance, not free to do laundry. And the drinks are on the cheaper side...well, cheap for Miami.

Kill the Noise are pretty awesome and I can't wait to see them! This post is getting too long, so here are some tracks from WWW.MISSINGTOOF.COM !

Kill The Noise - Hey You (Le Castle Vania Remix)
Estelle - American Boy (feat. Kanye West) (Kill The Noise Remix)

And if they are still DJing, we may catch Miami Horror playing over at POPLIFE @ The White Room after Kill the Noise! Crossing fingers!

    - - - > KColl taking photos ALL WEEK in Orlando (Spring Training 08) and Miami for WMC!! < - - -

My CRAZY ass Itinerary for this entire week and weekend.

Melanie and I will be hitting up each Spring Training event here in Orlando, then heading to Miami sometime early Friday morning.

Friday Afternoon - Party hopping between Franki Chans IHEARTCOMIX Showcase at The Raleigh Hotel and Pauly and Mikes (Subversive and Stereohype) WINDISH AGENCY Showcase Pool Party at South Seas Hotel right next door. There is also special guests at the Windish Showcase that I am allowed to hint at: They were here very recently, so I just pray you can guess who!

Friday Night - Fools Gold Showcase at The White Room (where i shot the Girl Talk afterparty in Feb) w/ A-Trak, Sindin, LA Riots, etc

Saturday Afternoon - I'm doing a photobooth type setup at Ultra Fest for URB Magazine. That should be neat! Then I can shoot the rest of the event, buuuuuuuut I might go here or instead...

Saturday Night - 2 Choices. Either Calvin Harris with Heatsrevolution at The White Room, or the fucking Bloody Beetroots, LA Riots, Laz Cazanova, Felix Cartal, and Riot in Belgium.

MAN O MAN. Me taking photos, Melanie doing reviews. Very little sleep. More than likely alcohol poisoning...

    - - - > KColl photos online at URB.COM! Urb Magazine!! Weeeee! < - - -

So 2 weekends ago I shot photos for Urb Magazine, based out of Los Angelas, CA. Of course, thats the home of a booming DJ scene right now with acts including Franki Chan, Steve Aoki, Them Jeans, LA Riots, and Afrobots to name a bunch.

I covered two parties they sponsored for the Art Basel festival in Miami, FL.
MSTRKRFT / LA Riots @ The Pawn Shop 12.07.07 <view my flickr gallery>
    Moby / Princess Superstar / Afrobots @ Studio A 12.08.07 <view my flickr gallery>

"URB is one of North America's longest running and most trusted independent music magazines, covering emergent hip-hop, indie and electronic music and the lifestyles that surround it. Launched on the principle that what was occurring beneath the surface and outside the range of mainstream eyes and ears was worth celebrating and documenting, URB remains the vanguard for what’s next."

With that blurb off their "about me" page being said, I'm very excited that my phttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifhotos are included/associated with their magazine and website. Hopefully I'll be working with them real soon again!

My photos can be viewed by going to and clicking Media -> Image Gallery near the top right of the page or by going directly to http://www.urb.com/media/images/. Take a look!

Also, Marc De Jesus, the flagman in Gym Class Heroes, has been using my photos as his default ever since the Official Fallout Boy Afterparty at Firestone on November 1st. Neat!

    REVIEW by Melanie Gapany

Tucked into a city block in the heart of downtown Miami, Studio A is your typical Miami nightclub, with a decently sized dance floor and an impressive display of liquor gathered around a circular, freestanding bar, modern décor, and a large stage. The bartenders are well apt in entertaining their crowd with fire blowing and bottle tricks. Unlike Miami nightclubs, there is no line to get in, its nice and cool inside, there are people dancing and the lineup for the evening is incredibly diverse.

It’s midway through the night and the entire room is a thriving mess of sweat and movement, packed with an eclectic mix of people that you can only find in port cities. Holy Ghost! and Princess Superstar have both finished amazing sets, and pumped the crowd full of energy. But now there is a small framed DJ wearing a large brimmed blue sunhat at the tables, casually sipping what one must assume is a screwdriver. He dances almost as intensely as the people on the floor. He is the man behind everyone’s current state of madness…the reason why no one can really stop dancing. He is Moby. The same Moby that has released pop chart hits such as ‘South Side’ and soothing lullaby melodies such as ‘Porcelain’, behind the decks, expertly wooing the crowd into frenzy.

Moby’s biography is a timeline of incredible achievements almost as diverse as the pop star himself and if this performance was any kind of a preview of what listeners can expect from Moby’s new release Last Night, due out in March of 2008, then listeners can expect something that is much more dance oriented than any of his previous releases. Much more indie, way less pop.

Despite the high price of drinks and lack of parking, everyone seemed incredibly pleased as the night ended with the Afrobots who, much like Princess Superstar, were able to effortlessly mix rhyming skills over intense beats. At the close of the night, Studio A cleared out quickly, and it was back outside for more downtown Miami traffic and heat.

TOP 20 photos of the night!

This show was awesome!!! First time in MIAMI and Art Basel, shooting for URB Magazine, Music Loves Fashion, and Jeff Duke & Adam Frankel Productions...

LA Riots really killed it, I need to see more and more and more of them live! Local Johnny the Boy pumped up the crowd early on and really got them moving...LA Riots took over and churched out the electro to the best of anyones abilities, then MSTRKRFT took the "drivers seats" and did what they do best, make people dance, dance, dance!

    special thanks to
Jeff Duke &Adam Frankel Productions and Jason Swartz of ALLIANCE TALENT INT'L for hooking me up and making this all possible!!
